What Is Build Shield?
Build Shield is our system of pre-cut PPF templates designed for high-impact areas on 4WDs. It’s a faster, more practical approach to protection — focused on where damage happens most.
This compares to our premium PPF service which is a fully custom install with wrapped edges and near-invisible finish, best suited to fuller coverage and those after a seamless finish.
How Is It Different From Other Template Or DIY Kits?
Build Shield draws on our years of experience in PPF installation, with templates developed through real familiarity with specific vehicles, and where they see damage.
Our templates use XPEL film to deliver superior protection against damage and every install is completed professionally to ensure proper preparation, alignment and adhesion for long lasting performance.
Will The Edges Be Visible?
Yes. For Build Shield installs we use custom panel-based templates with a 3mm edge gap. This system is designed for practical fitment and function — prioritising protection for high risk areas rather than a fully hidden look.
If your priority is a fully seamless, near-invisible finish across the entire vehicle, then our premium installs are the way to go.
Is This Suitable For All Vehicles?
We’ve designed Build Shield specifically for the needs of 4WDs and currently have kits for a select range of models. If your 4WD isn’t listed, we can help build a kit or custom solution to suit.
If you don’t have a 4WD then our premium installs are the best option and can still be tailored to suit your coverage needs. These installs are suited to all vehicles and include custom install with wrapped edges and a seamless finish.
